More Than Me Foundation exists because empathy — the most fundamental of human skills — is the one our world most needs to relearn.

Our story

Why we exist.

More Than Me Foundation was born from a simple observation: nearly every crisis we witness — division, discrimination, misinformation, conflict, and neglect of future generations — begins the moment people stop seeing one another's humanity.

Rather than treat the symptoms, we chose to address the root. We help people of every background develop empathy as a lifelong skill, through education, cultural exchange, dialogue, and community engagement.

We're building a generation of compassionate leaders who understand that local actions create global impact.

Mission

More Than Me works to embed empathy and global understanding in people of all backgrounds in order to combat dehumanization and polarization and the neglect of future generations. We strive to cultivate empathy, intercultural understanding, and civic responsibility by providing educational programs, workshops, and cross-cultural experiences that inspire individuals to see themselves as part of a shared global community with responsibility for one another.

Through our programs, we promote learning centered on social justice, climate justice, human rights, and global interconnectedness while emphasizing the relationship between local action and global impact. We push for social-emotional learning that encourages empathy, compassion, and respect for diverse perspectives. We also equip participants with digital literacy and ethical media skills to recognize and resist misinformation that may fuel division, conflict, and intolerance.

Juliette Damian

Founder and CEO

Hi my name is Juliette and i am so excited to be leading this nonprofit. Growing up, my multicultural friendships introduced me to new perspectives, traditions, and life experiences that shaped who I am. Additionally, as a journalist and advocate for underrepresented girls, listening to people's stories taught me that empathy begins with UNDERSTANDING someone else's world. These experiences inspired me to co-found this nonprofit with someone who has shown me the importance of cross-cultural connection. Some of my interests include traveling, writing, trying new foods, tennis, and spending time with loved ones.

Meghna Menon

Founder and CEO

Hi! My name is Meghna, and I am honored to be building this nonprofit with a passion for connecting people through culture. As a South Indian, my heritage has always been a big part of my identity showing me the beauty of traditions and shared experiences. Through dance, exploring cultures, and work that allows me to support access to education for children, I have realized the power of culture and compassion in bringing people closer together. Outside of my work with this nonprofit, I enjoy dancing, baking, exploring new cafes, and spending time with the people I love.
